Our Executive Members and Sub Committees play a vital role in guiding Family Day Care WA. Together, they bring expertise, dedication and a shared commitment to supporting our members, strengthening the family day care sector, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children across the state.

Gabrielle Crosse

Chairperson
(Eastern Region Family Day Care Service)

The FDCWA Chairperson’s responsibilities:

  • Presides at all general meetings
  • Set the meeting agenda
  • Determine if a quorum is present at meetings
  • Ensure the agenda is adhered to and that all members have an opportunity to contribute to any discussion
  • Help the meeting come to an agreement
  • When decisions are made, clearly state to the meeting what the decision is and who will implement it
  • Act as the spokesperson for FDCWA Association
  • Each member is eligible for re election and executive positions can be held for a maximum of 3 years but the person can be renominated for that position again after 12 months.

Vice Chairperson
(Willi Wagtails Family Day Care Service)

The Vice Chairperson’s responsibilities:

  • Chairs the meeting if the Chairperson is absent
  • Performs other roles in the absence of the Chairperson
  • Each member is eligible for re election and executive positions can be held for a maximum of 3 years but the person can be renominated for that position again after 12 months.

Secretary
(Community Vision Family Day Care Service)
  • Keeps the Minutes of all meetings
  • Keeps an attendance list of members present at all meeting
  • Ensures that, after approval of the Minutes as an accurate record, the Minutes are signed by the Chairperson of the meeting or the Chairperson of the next succeeding meeting
  • An Assistant Secretary may be appointed at any time at the discretion of the committee. An Assistant Secretary is not a member of the executive.
  • Each member is eligible for re election and executive positions can be held for a maximum of 3 years but the person can be renominated for that position again after 12 months.

Jo Georgiou

Treasurer
(Nature Alliance Family Day Care Service)
  • Ensures that all money due to the Association is collected and received and all payments authorised by the Association are made
  • Financial records and accounts are kept showing the financial affairs of the Association include full details of all receipts and expenditure connected with the activities of the Association
  • Financial records are kept in a manner that can be easily audited if required by the members or funding body
  • A Financial Report is presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Association
  • Each member is eligible for re election and executive positions can be held for a maximum of 3 years but the person can be renominated for that position again after 12 months.
